Loud and Proud: Connecting Spanish to Our Communities-EXHIBITOR SESSION (Carnegie Learning)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Let your Spanish-speaking students find and develop their voice by connecting with their community both in and out of the classroom. Our students benefit when they have a personal interest in their language learning. By connecting what they learn in class with the students’ own communities they can see the direct impact and influence Spanish has on their lives. In this session we will discuss how teachers can encourage their students to engage with their local communities at home and at school as well as at the national and global level. Carnegie Learning's En voz alta program strengthens students' pride in their heritage and develops their confidence to express themselves in their communities and will be used to provide examples during the session.
