William H. Lee has been the Latin teacher at Tom C. Clark High School in San Antonio, TX, for the past twenty years and taught at Barbara Bush Middle School and Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio for three years prior to accepting his current teaching position at Clark. He is currently serving as President of the San Antonio Classical Society, a State Chair of the Texas State Junior Classical League, a member of the College Board AP Latin Development Committee and the AP Latin Curriculum Work Group, and as vice-president of both Texas Classical Association and Texas Foreign Language Association. Having served ten years as Communications Chair, National Committee Secretary, and Certamen Chair for the National Junior Classical League, and three years as the Chair of American Classical League’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, William has also presented at various conferences on the Cambridge Latin Course and educational technology for the past fifteen years. William was the recipient of the Society of Classical Studies Excellence in Teaching at the Pre-Collegiate Level Award in 2019, the Texas Classical Association Gaylan Dubose Excellence in Teaching Award in 2020, and was recognized as 2021-2022 TFLA Teacher of the Year and the 2022 SWCOLT Teacher of the Year.
